About a decade ago, ATT trucks began using block panels in an orange and lime reflective color, orange in the center and lime on both sides. This combination had been effective in reducing rear end collisions by making the back of vans and trucks much more visible. The bright vivid colors attract attention to the vehicle, thus making accidents less likely.

ATT trucks use Lime and Orange, however, other popular combinations are just as effective. Many of our customers use Lime and Red, Lime and Green, and White and Red. Panels with three color blocks can be used, but panels that use more blocks and extend all the way across the back of the vehicle are more effective. We have 12 inch alternating block panels as well as 6 inch alternating (red and white only).

Battenberg reflective panels are popular in Europe and are becoming more and more popular in the United States as well. They differ in look from standard chevron panels, however, the function is the same. Just like Chevron Panels, Battenberg patterns can be used on the back, sides or front of the vehicle. Due to flexibility, most users prefer the battenberg pattern for the sides of their vehicle, often covereing the entire side with the alternating rectangles in a checkered pattern. They then use the same pattern for the back and front.

Lime and Red Reflective Chevron Panels are by far the most popular pattern and color combination in the United States. This is for the most part due to the fact that the reflective chevron pattern was adopted by the NFPA for fire trucks and apparatus in 2009. And their colors are lime and red.
